Insospettabile paradiso Il lodge si trova ad una 30ina di minuti da Vaalwater perfettamente mimetizzato nell'antico canion scavato dal fiume Mokolo, in una stupenda riserva privata dove kudu, bisonti, impala ed una varietà di altri erbivori sono casa. Alla struttura, ci si arriva dopo una impegnativa discesa in fuori strada attraverso la quale si giunge ad un'ampia ed aperta valle attraversata dal Mokolo. Varie ville, tutte di livello eccellente nel loro gusto coloniale, ti immergono in un'atmosfera di lusso ricercato ma comunque ben integrato nell'ambiente. Splendidi i balconi, muniti di vasca privata esterna e lettini, affacciati sul corso del fiume. Le camere da letto sono con ampia e affascinante vista sulla natura circostante grazie alle portefinestre completamente apribili. Dalle stanze da letto si accede, facendo scorrere una grande porta in legno lavorato, ad una bellissima stanza da bagno con vasca e doccia (quest'ultima anche in versione esterna); completano la dotazione morbidissimi accappatoi ed asciugamani e non mancano prodotti da bagno di alto livello. Il servizio del personale ottimo sia per pulizia che per attenzione agli ospiti. Tutto ciò con un rapporto qualità prezzo senza paragoni. Il ricordo di questo incantevole posto resterà a confortare i miei pensieri. Ci tornerei piú volte nel corso dell'anno se non fosse in un altro continente... Comunque se cercate un posto dove soggiornare e rilassarvi che sia anche una tappa da/verso Johannesburg questo è il posto perfetto!

Exceptional stay at an exceptional lodge! We were blown away by Nungu! Although we could only stay one night we felt like this was our new home. We found the entrance to the dirt road easily with the help of GPS, do make sure to put Marulasfontein into your GPS instead of searching for Nungu Game Lodge. The dirt road was not too bad, our city car could easily handle it although we drove slowly and it took around 20 minutes. Upon arrival at the gate we were greeted by some of the staff. Joseph was our driver to the main lodge. He was a wonderful driver, so friendly and insightful! He showed us the sable pen and many buffalo on the way to the main lodge, really great to see! The road to the main lodge was lots of fun in the open safari vehicle, with an exquisite view as you descend into the valley. Many staff were waiting for us at the door when we arrived, with a welcome drink for each of us. This made us feel very special! The villas are thoughtfully furnished and spacious. I especially liked the plunge pool, deck and view of the Mokolo River. Definitely 5-star worthy! We went on an amazing game drive with Joseph after putting away our luggage and settling in. This 2.5 hour game drive was definitely a highlight of our visit. The view on the mountain is out of this world... We enjoyed a few refreshments as the sun set! When we returned to the lodge it was almost time for dinner. Our 3 course dinner was truly amazing! Fine dining at its best! The chefs are excellent and really nice to speak to! There is no wi-fi and TV so you can unwind without any distractions. It was very quiet at night with the most beautiful night time sky. Needless to say we all slept very well. The next morning we had breakfast and it was hearty and very good! We could check out slightly later which was much appreciated. We enjoyed the villas for a few more hours before a very nice lunch. The chef is truly passionate about her job and the results show! The service exceeded our expectations. I was blown away by Nungu Game Lodge and the team! We will definitely be back for a longer stay in the near future! Thank you!!!

A hidden GEM This has to be one of the most frantic booking experiences I have had but in the end all worked out well. Please note that the GPS coordinates provided on Google are in correct and it brings you to a roundabout just outside Lephalale. This is where things went south. I tried calling the lodge and the number provided by Google once more was 5555555 which obviously does not work. To cut a long story short I found the lodge and what a wonderful surprise. This place is FABULOUS and the staff are attentive and just want to ensure that your stay is memorable. The accommodation is spacious and caters for all your needs. The food is appetizing and you will not go wrong with booking your stay at Nungu. Couple things to keep in mind: * the GPS coordinates are incorrect. You need to be on the R510 and about 30km from Lephalale. * don't try calling the lodge rather call then via whatsapp as the reception is crap in the area. * alcohol is not served here as they don't have a liquor licence but working on getting it in place but one of the staff members will inform you about this when they call you after they received your booking. * come here to unwind - no TVs in my villa Overall great stay with amazing staff and a must visit when in this area and from my experience not many options available.

Maduna Our stay at nungu was something out of the world, me and my wife stayed there for two nights the place is so perfect, the staff I don't have words to praise them Mr Richie and his team guys keep it up, is people like you that makes places like nungu be the best, the food excellence, we will definitely come back there.

Total 5 star luxe experience!! Set in a valley, the hotel offers a complete 5 star experience. Huge, well-appointed villas with every amenity imaginable, including a private heated plunge pool. The bathrooms are decked out in Africology products and each villa has a private outside shower. The villas are very clean, beautifully furnished and very private, with views of the river and mountains surrounding the river. Spa treatments can be arranged on request. Game drives are provided by a very well-informed guide (Joseph). My personal favourite was the picnic on the banks of the river. The table was beautifully set and the food spectacular. The lapa also has a big infinity swimming pool to unwind in after a hot day. The wine selection is unsurpassed. The staff are well-trained, very friendly and will go to any lengths to make the guests comfortable. A great place to stay, with a home-away-from-home feel to it. Super tranquil setting. The chef is so skillful - every meal was a wonder! Thanks Munashe and team! Would love to visit again!

5 star experience! What an amazing experience we had. From day one we were treated like royalty. The staff made us feel right at home and went out of their way to make it a special experience for us. Everything was so neat and the food was amazing. Definitely a 5 star experience! Highly recommend them, you won't be disappointed
